The dryness of the paper web on the wet part is about 0.5% to 1%, the dryness of the web into the press part is about 20%, and the dryness after press part is about 40%. The press section is the last link of the wet section of the paper machine (flow section, forming section, press section), and it plays a vital role in the normal operation of the dry section (drying section, calendering section, and roll paper section). .
Obviously, the main function of the press section is to reduce the moisture content of the wet paper web and increase the dryness of the paper web into the drying section by mechanical extrusion. In addition, pressing can improve the surface quality of the paper, increase the tightness of the paper, and increase the strength of the paper to a certain extent.
The dewatering of the press section should be uniform along the width of the paper web. When the paper web is locally too dry or too wet, the paper web will be too dry or crushed. In the dewatering process of a wet paper web, the cost of mechanical extrusion dewatering is much lower than that of steam drying. Under the premise of not affecting the quality of the paper, the role of the press section should be strengthened to remove as much moisture as possible by mechanical extrusion. Generally speaking, each 1% increase in the dryness of the paper web when it exits the press section corresponds to a reduction of about 5% of the amount of water that needs to be evaporated in the drying section, that is, a reduction in steam consumption of about 5%. Improving the efficiency of press dewatering has an important role in increasing the output of paper machines or reducing costs.
A blind hole with a diameter of 2 mm and a depth of 12 to 15 mm is drilled on the rubber-coated surface. It can also drill blind holes with different depths and alternate between two rows. The opening ratio of the blind hole pressure roller is about 25% to 30%, and its eye volume is about 5 times larger than the grooved pressure roller, so it can accommodate more water. The solid part of the blind hole pressure roller is not as easily damaged as the grooved pressure roller, so the roller can be covered with a soft rubber layer, with a hardness of about 70 to 90 Shore. The first result is that the wear of the felt can be reduced, and the second is that it can provide a wider nip, which is conducive to increasing the pressure of the nip.
